We get a lot of songs on the station at a time, so always manually updating what goes on is hard to do. We hope to find a new solution soon. In the meantime, if a weekly update is not posted here, please remember, it's not as easy as we make it seem to be.

November 7 Added Songs

Aya Hirano - Ashita no Prism

So I figure "eh..why bother? No one else is posting any comments..." therefore, I ignore them. If you do post a comment though, I am sure your name will look real, and not look like a 5 year old at a keyboard just pushing random buttons, so I will read it, and approve it (^_^)

AnimeAMAZE System Died

The AnimeAMAZE Broadcast machine, known to most by the name 'Mint' Died Thursday morning at around 12:00AM EDT (0:00 GMT -4:00)

Mint, was, after all, running on a seemingly unstable motherboard, and found out later on, Hard drive. The motherboard has suffered quite a bit of harsh treatment, due to elements such as thunderstorms, power outages, and other small shocks. The system was never physically abused by any of the technicians.

On note about the 250GB Hard drive, Evidently, the SATA data connector, melted or broke off. Reason as to why this happened is unknown. The cable was just pulled out, with ease, and along with it came the plastic clip holding the conductors in place. Currently we are trying to see if Seagate (New Owners of Maxtor Drives) will accept it for RMA. The drive itself was never physically abused, and the HDD, was also in a very cold environment. System Temp of 18 C, CPU Temp of 25-30 C, and the Hard drive was always 30 C.

The System is running on a Temporary solution, and will be moved to a more stable temporary system. These systems will not provide as much power as a dedicated machine, so it is very important that we remedy this. Since we are non profit, and offer commercial free music, money is hard to come by. Your donations can help revive our dedicated system Donation of parts are also accepted and greatly appreciated.

If you like AnimeAMAZE, and like the services we offer to you free of charge, please consider donating to help us get our system, back up and running. I wish to thank everyone for their help and support thus far!

Biggest Crash in History of AnimeAMAZE

AnimeAMAZE just pulled out of its biggest Crash in History. We were down for quite a few days. Boxes off, and servers not working, yea, what turned out to be a simple update turned out to be our biggest crash ever. I mean, sure we had some bad times, but this was the worst. So here are the details...in a summed up version.

-Mint got accidentally unplugged (Was going to clean her anyway)

-Decide to get started since Mint was off... so I update Vanilla

-Vanilla shows Very weird messages...not good messages either. Stuff like Panic logs and such...very bad

-After trying 5 or 6 different options to get Vanilla to run, All attempts failed

-Finally get into her system so I can back up the MYSQL tables for the station and site.

-Try to reinstall Debian Lenny, Etch, and Sarge, all three failed

-Gave up and left it as is since I had a job the next day to do

-Got Back and Replaced Vanilla with a cheap Dell box we got

-Took 4 hours but got a working OS on it working with Web, MySQL, and all that nice stuff we use

-Mint Refused to Connect

-I got angered

-Apparently Vista needs you to run it as Admin to connect to databases (who knew...worked the other way before)

-We are connected and after finding Mints IP, Requests working.

-Oddly Enough, Midwest is down (Big Surprise there...not)

At any rate, we are back up and working and survived our biggest crash. the "new" Vanilla should go faster as a matter of fact. Not as much ram, but she has a faster chip and a better network system. Thank you for your patience while we were down and thank you for your continued support.
