IE8 Work Around for Forums

Since we added Java to our forums as a source of the ever popular "Now Playing" forum, we found that people have had issues.
This applies to:

Windows XP (x86, x64)

Windows Vista (x86, x64)

Windows 7 RC1 Build 7100 (x86, x64)

Problem
You click forums and

This happens because IE8's architecture differs from IE7's greatly. They also added "enhancements" to make viewing pages better. It's a known fact, that when they added these "enhancements", that problems arise for everyone, whether it be a security hole, or compatibility problems, like this one here. Fortunately, there is a solution.

Solution

Open IE8 and Select Tools

From the menu Select "Compatibility View Settings"

In the "Add this website" Text box type "animeamaze.net"

Click add, and then close that screen

From this point, IE8 should turn off its "enhancements" for you to view the site. I opened it again though and had to re-add animeamaze.net though so hopefully you have better luck than I did.

Our Only other solution is to Get a Real Browser and we can confirm they work. Clicking the link will bring you to our #1 choice. Opera also makes a pretty nice Browser too.
Hatsune Miku finally makes it in the video game world, but is this Diva a sensation, or is she just a massive failure ?

Sony PSP only.

From the moment that you start, you know there's just something about this game. You can't quite put it into words, but that's ok, it's not your job to sing here. That's where Miku comes in. The game plays in a somewhat simple, yet hard rythem based game. There is no story mode, thus I will assume that there is no story to this game.

Your goal in this game is simply to press the right button, at the right time. Depending on your timing, you either get to hear some of the greatest songs ever sung by Miku, or you will get to hear yourself yelling in utter rage for the sin you have just commited. The game boasts an impressive 30+ songs, each with it's own dance, and unique feel, as Miku performs in each different location. Her dancing method depends on how well you execute combos. Perform horribly, and you will have to do the song again.

As you press a button, you will see one of the following :
Cool
Fine
Safe
Sad
Worst
Or you just miss completely.

As each song has an easy and a normal mode (Possibly more, please bare with as I try and figure this moon speak game), it also has a star rating, to indicate it's difficulty, and a BPM (Beats per minute) indicator. You start only with about 6 songs. After you clear a song on a difficulty, it unlocks other songs and items. The songs work in a rather branch sort of way, thus you will need to finish all of them, to unlock all of them.

The gameplay can seem overwhealming sometimes, especially since you will really want to see the performance in the background, but I suggest you find a buddy that will play this for you, as you just watch. There's also an annoying tambourine sound when you press a button ingame, but thankfully, there is an option before you play a song to turn it off. Loading screens have an insane amount of fan art. From the incredibly beautiful, to the incredibly bad.

As I've mentioned, there are items to be unlocked. For the people wondering (I was one of them indeed) yes, you do get alternative costumes, and plenty of them. 50+ costumes are to be unlocked and enjoyed ! There is also a mode in the game where you visit Miku's room. There is not much to do in this mode, but you can decorate her room somewhat, and just listen to some of her tunes.

There is also an Adhoc mode, allowing you to connect to, at least 1 other PSP. Unfortunately, I cannot find out what this is for, since I shall never, ever meet anyone else with Project Diva around where I live. . . . Ever. Should I ever find out on the Internet, this will get updated.

All in all, the game surprised me somewhat. I was definitively not expecting this game to be so good. Sound quality is excellent, Miku's performances are worth seeing, and there is quite a bit of replay value. Miku has never looked more impressive. This game will have you begging for an OST.

As always, PSP games are not Region Locked, so ship over a copy, and enjoy !

As a side note, I recommend play-asia for your Eastern gaming needs.

Event Hosted by Axl4002 and Zoop

Well, might as well reveal what I'm trying to do, since if people are not interested, then all this work would go to waste~

So basically, I wanna bring the AA/J-Isle community together in a game of deceit, lies, and . . . werewolves ?
Yes, the old game known as "Are you a werewolf ?" and otherwise known as "Lupus in Abula".

Click 'Continue Reading' if you are interested. If you already know about the game, sign up for the forums, (Simple Process) and proceed to The Lupus in Abula forum on AnimeAMAZE

I'll keep the rules simple, so I don't scare people away.
We pick a moderator (I'll be filling in this spot until other people get how the game works), then we randomly pick 2 people that will be the "werewolves", we pick 1 Seer, and the rest are normal villagers. Only the moderator knows who is who, and the werewolves are in a team, and know each other. So it's Werewolves VS Everyone else~

The game starts during the day (It usually starts during the night, and someone is killed, but that would be unfair for the player, since he wouldn't get to play) and everyone is aware that there are 2 werewolves among them, but there is no way to tell, thus people most convince other people who is who, without making themselves look suspicious. At the end of the day, the people vote for a person to lynch (You can vote not to lynch anyone, but this might be an advantage for the werewolves) once the people vote who to lynch, the player is immediately killed, and removed from the game. He can no longer talk, or anything, until the next game. He is then revealed as what he was, a Seer, Werewolf or a villager. After every lynching, the day is over, and night commences. The werewolves choose 1 person to kill, and that person is also removed from the game. For the werewolves to win, there must be an equal number of villagers, or less. For the villagers, you must simply lynch the 2 werewolves~

Now comes the part of the Seer. At night, the player who is a Seer PMs the moderator about 1 character in the game (Any character he wants) and the moderator tells him wether or not he is a werewolf. Then the seer can start trying to convince people who is who. This may seem like cheating, but consider this, what proof does a person have, that he is the Seer ? Thus the deceit comes in.

I believe if we have enough people (If we get at least everyone from my previous thread, it'll be great) this game will prove to be very entertaining, and you get to improve the way you think logically, and such.

Saya no Uta

 Article by Zoop

What would you do if you woke one day to find that the collective entirety of your five senses had rebelled against you - twisting your perception of the world as a whole into something unknown and horrible, frightening beyond words, and utterly beyond human understanding or comprehension?

What would you do, if looking upon your best friend, you saw only a rotting and pulsating flesh-thing, the likes of which would make even Lovecraft himself turn away in abject and unabashed disgust? If the scent of the sweetest rose that ever existed assailed your nose as though it were a thousand tons of the most fetid and noxious refuse on the planet? If the sound of your lover's voice, that was once beautiful and almost musical, became so distorted and putrid that it could hardly be recognized as human speech?

Waking for the first time following a car accident that left his parents dead, and himself all but mortally wounded - saved only by the absolute latest advances in neurosurgery - Fuminori Sakisaka finds himself in such a situation, trapped in a world in which even the walls of his hospital room appear horrible and disgusting beyond belief or description. For Fuminori there is but one reprieve from the horror that tirelessly assails his senses... a young girl named Saya.

Whereas every other human being appears to him as some manner or another of horrible apparition, Saya appears as a normal human being; a shining beacon of beauty and normalcy that comes to serve as the anchor for Fuminori's sanity, allowing him to retain his sense of self where he would have otherwise long ago succumbed to madness.

Saya No Uta ("Saya's Song") is a Japanese Visual Novel - a game that is more akin to a 'choose your own adventure' style novel than a traditional video game. The 'gameplay' environment is composed entirely of a background image, onscreen sprites displaying characters in their current state, music, various sound effects as applicable, and text. This setup allows for a degree of depth, detail, and emotion that transcends what can be achieved through the more standard mediums of anime and manga, allowing for a perfect mixture of psychological horror and romance that I am confident would be difficult - if not impossible - to recreate with equal impact on any other medium.

Players in the game take the role of Fuminori Sakisaka as he struggles to come to terms with his new reality, attempting to maintain a fleeting sense of normalcy in a world that - to his eyes alone - is anything but, while also unraveling the truth about Saya, the man she claims as her father, and finally his role and sense of morality in a world that repulses him, among creatures that he cannot recognize as human.

Saya No Uta contains scenes that are likely, at least in some capacity, to disgust or otherwise disturb you - it is by no means a game for everyone, but is at the same time a game that I cannot help but give my greatest and highest recommendations - having been utterly enraptured by the flawless execution of the script and the increasing sense of unease that comes from learning more and more of the events that occur within the game - eventually leaving you with one of three endings, any of which could be seen as being good or bad depending on one's perspective.

In addition to scenes depicting disgusting and/or disturbing imagery, it bears noting that Saya No Uta - like far too many visual novels - contains some scenes of an adult nature - though they are easily skipped through by way of the control key. If you are able and willing to look beyond this however, you will find an experience that is very much unrivaled.
