Giving AAC+v2 a Try [FINISHED]

We Turned our shoutcast located at http://midweststreaming.com:16268 back to its standard MP3 format. Our tests proved that if we want to use AAC in the future, we will have to get a smaller shoutcast server for the purpose. Thank you everyone who participated. Why? Well, Why Not? It is a free file format after all, Considering MP3's are patent filled, we decided to try something a little different, and since our shoutcast server can handle AAC, we decided to give it a try. I would've loved to do OGG But sadly Shoutcast can't handle it. Now Steamcast, on the other hand...

So currently, our server located on http://midweststreaming.com:16268 is using AAC. You may find you like it as a higher quality, lower bandwidth alternative, if not, We will change it back pretty soon. Just experimenting a little bit to find out what we can do to offer you the best quality, at the lowest bandwidth use. Funcaptains server is still streaming MP3 at 192kbps so don't worry. We would never pull a full change on you like that, Just a server for experimental use.
